Anyone who had the chance to discover pianist Yakir Arbib on stage or during his previous solo album «MY NAME IS YAKIR» released in November 2019 will tell you : Yakir is an exceptional musician.

Apart from an immense sensitivity, he is also a fantastic improviser endowed with an infinite technical freedom and an incredible virtuosity. It’s with the trio formula that Yakir Arbib chose to record his new album «THREE COLORS». From the outset, the union between the masterful playing of Chris Jennings on double bass and the formidable groove of drummer Roberto Giaquinto appear here as an obvious way to complement the pianist’s sound palette. Yakir offers us eight original compositions with melodies that transport you from the first notes and two revisited standards: «YOU GO TO MY HEAD» and «MOMENTS NOTICE». With the help of his partners, Yakir Arbib allows himself to improvise at any moment on a music as rich as unexpected pushing back a little more, and in his own way, the borders of Jazz.
